Wrapstyler was instrumental in completing my final year project on 3D printed wheelchair seating. As a part of my project, I was tasked with investigating the automation of wheelchair upholstery manufacturing processes. From this, I investigated best practices in creating 2D flat patterns for laser cutting from 3D scan of custom contoured seating. Workflows and best practices for using Wrapstyler in wheelchair seating applications were created.
The software was very intuitive and easy to use. Using the workflow I created, I was able to successfully laser cut upholstery panels for a custom contoured wheelchair seat.
